Nikkelverk wins prestigious award: Smartest Industrial Company in Norway
Prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre was the keynote speaker at the Industry Conference in the Colosseum Cinema on May 9th, when Glencore Nikkelverk received the award showing that we are Norway's smartest industrial company in 2022! State Secretary Elisabeth Sæther in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy presented the award.
THE JURY'S REASONING
The finalists, Glencore Nikkelverk AS, Mustad Autoline AS and Rolls-Royce Electrical Norway AS, are characterized by innovative solutions using new technology and digitalisation, combined with a great commitment to the environment and sustainability. The finalists represent the best of Norwegian industry and are good examples of how innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand to create a better future for us all, says Torger Reve, chairman of the jury and professor emeritus at BI Business School.
- This year's winner is an established industrial company that has managed to utilize advanced technology and digitization solutions and become a strong contributor to the green shift, says Torger Reve.
Research and development together with continuous new improvement processes have made them appear today as a company that does almost everything right. The result is a productivity that can withstand Norwegian cost levels and a production that has the world as its market.
